At Deep Roots Texas we care for our client's properties and landscapes from the ground up, from the roots to the fruit. Healthy plants start with healthy soil, and healthy soil needs the right biological and nutritional content to keep you safe and your landscape thriving. Ask about our holistic landscape treatments to get your property or project moving in the right direction!

Now more than ever, your landscape needs resilience against extreme weather like droughts and floods. Our soil-health focused treatment will allow your landscape to develop the strength and health to overcome and bounce back from the severe weather our region experiences more and more.  Healthy soil makes healthy plants, and healthy plants can thrive even during, and after, a disaster.

Our treatments take into consideration the beneficial biology beneath your feet and the potential for millions of microscopic allies to improve, maintain, and jump-start the health and beauty of your property. We understand that just putting nutrition down on your landscape isn't enough, we have to care for the whole ecological cycle. Billions of beneficial bacteria, fungi, protists, and arthropods are waiting to protect and uplift your property if they get the right encouragement and help we can provide.

Meet Clay

Clay was born and raised on the coastal prairies of Texas. Growing up in Richmond, Rosenberg, and Sugarland, he spent many holidays and summers on his extended family’s farm in northern Louisiana, annoying cattle and building makeshift dams in gullies. He received his degree in Anthropology from the University of Houston, with an emphasis on cultural ecology, or how humans and their environment co-create one another. During and after school he worked and lived on an organic farm and dairy west of Houston, before traveling abroad with his now wife to work on farms and wellness centers in SE Asia. Before finding his way into soil and landscape health services, he worked as an archaeologist, digging countless holes across the country. These days he’s eager to hear about your land and property to see how we might make your corner of the earth even more lovely.
